The City of St. Louis Park shares project developments through the 2024 Pavement Management Update #28, confirming progress on the ongoing pavement improvements. Aaron Wiesen, P.E., a Project Engineer for the City, detailed current developments in phases 3 and 4, where concrete contractors are laying down new driveways and sidewalks. Weather permitting, this concrete work should wrap up within the week.
As of this moment, the renovation is laying the groundwork for phase 4. "The paving of the first layer of bituminous pavement in phase 4 is being completed on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and Wednesday Oct. 30," the announcement detailed. These are vital steps toward making the streets more drivable and enhancing the pedestrian experience. In the subsequent weeks, the addition of topsoil and the installation of sod is set to commence, adding greenery to the newly poured urban canvas.
Tom Leonhardt, acting as the Project Coordinator for the City, accompanies Wiesen in the effort to keep the public informed and the project transparent. With clear communication channels, residents can expect minimal disruptions to their daily commute and a speedy return to normalcy once the project reaches completion.
