QuikTrip, the Tulsa-based convenience store giant, has planted its flag in Oklahoma City with the opening of its first outpost in the city limits. According to KOCO, the new QuikTrip launched operations this morning and is situated off Interstate 35 at the East Hefner Road exit. The travel center, with its expansive layout, is positioned to cater to a high volume of motorists, fitting 20 cars at the gas pumps and providing six diesel bays, tailored for truck drivers.
In a nod to the company's continued expansion, the Oklahoma City location follows on the heels of another metro area opening earlier this year in Moore. This brings the total QuikTrip count in Oklahoma to 86, as reported by KFOR. Both openings signify a steadfast increase in QuikTrip's regional presence, likely resonating with consumers who favor the brand's reputation.
Yesterday's ribbon-cutting ceremony featured notable figures like Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell and U.S. Rep. Stephanie Bice, along with local dignitaries. Aisha Jefferson, QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager, expressed gratitude and anticipation for the brand's new chapter in Oklahoma City. "We were incredibly humbled by the response to our travel center that opened in Moore earlier this year, and now we are excited to bring QuikTrip’s signature brand of quality and efficient service to Oklahoma City," Jefferson told NewsOn6. This location is not just a boon for travelers on I-35 but also purports to bolster the employment scene with the creation of approximately two dozen jobs.
QuikTrip's expansion into Oklahoma City could be a bellwether for further developments within the retail and convenience store sector in the region. With its doors now open at 10801 N Interstate 35 Service Road, the travel center aims to service a medley of customers, from long-haul truckers to everyday commuters. Furthermore, QuikTrip pinpoints a crucial element in catering to the Oklahoma market, maintaining a steadfast commitment to customer service and community engagement.
