Raleigh's Warehouse District is renovating Commerce Place, and locals are invited to see the changes. On November 1, from 3-8 p.m., during the Raleigh First Friday series, the updated alleyway will host an event to showcase its new features. Residents and visitors can enjoy local business pop-ups, live music, and snacks, according to the City of Raleigh.
The revamp includes noticeable enhancements. New outdoor seating, bike racks, and pedestrian improvements have been added, along with colorful "asphalt art" murals by Mary Carter Taub. The event will also feature a raffle, and attendees could win a gift card or prize basket from local downtown businesses, as stated by the City of Raleigh.
The City’s Urban Projects Group, Raleigh Transportation, Raleigh Arts, and partners like Empire Properties and Turnbridge Equities have worked together to create a space for the community.
