
On Saturday, Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada mobilized volunteers to help low-income seniors, disabled residents, and veterans with home repairs. Over a hundred volunteers came together to assist with essential repairs and safety improvements, aiming to ensure these community members feel secure in their homes, according to News 3.
The effort was part of Make a Difference Day, which aims to create positive change. Tasks included roof repairs, plumbing, safety device installations, painting, and landscaping. Two homeowners in the valley now have updated homes at no cost, as noted by Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada.
Founded in 1994, Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada has renovated over 7,800 homes, providing essential support to low-income seniors, disabled residents, and veterans. The nonprofit believes that safe and healthy homes are a fundamental right and focuses on areas with high foreclosure rates to stabilize neighborhoods. Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada partners with businesses, community sponsors, and 1,250 volunteers to address housing challenges.
