
On Wednesday evening, a home invasion occurred in Hamilton Heights, where a woman was robbed by a man she recognized. According to a report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident took place around 7:40 p.m. in the 5800 block of Plymouth.
The 31-year-old victim had just returned home with the assailant after sharing a meal. As she looked for gas money to pay him for the ride, tensions quickly escalated, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
In a press release from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a victim reported that when she was unable to find money for gas, a man showed a handgun and took cash from her purse. District 5 investigators reported that after the suspect took the money, he left the scene with the stolen items. Fortunately, the woman was not physically harmed.
