The Barrett-Jackson Fall Auction in Scottsdale has concluded with impressive sales and charitable contributions. According to a report from Classic Car Auctions, the event which took place from October 10 to 13, saw a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari previously owned by rock legend Sammy Hagar fetch a cool $4.675 million, marking it as the priciest sale of the auction. The cream-colored supercar formerly belonging to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member wasn't just there to turn heads and loosen checkbooks, but also to offer an exclusive experience for the winning bidder—a trip to Cabo San Lucas for a special concert at Hagar's own bar, Cabo Wabo Cantina.
Not to remain overshadowed, the second day of the Barrett-Jackson Fall Auction also showcased high-value sales, as reported by ABC15. A highlight was the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse which was able to quickly sell for $385,000. This particular vehicle stood out not only for its high price but also for its charitable cause, benefiting Samaritan's Purse, an organization actively assisting those impacted by Hurricane Helene and Milton.
While the top spot was taken by the LaFerrari, other vehicles also saw considerable action, such as a second Ford Mustang Dark Horse selling for $700,000 at the charity lot and a 2019 Ford GT which parted ways with the auction block for $880,000. The Fall Auction managed to not only showcase some spectacular machines but also highlight the generosity of participants, as reported by Classic Car Auctions, with a significant amount being raised for charitable causes throughout the event.
Ferraris continued to excite bidders with a pair of Ferrari SF90s fetching above half a million each, and a 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Coupe raking in $506,000. Barrett-Jackson has been known to bring in large sums for charity, and the October event has proven to seamlessly continue this tradition. Additional sales of note included classic American muscle like the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 and custom models such as a 1937 Ford Convertible, broadening the appeal of the auction to a diverse group of car enthusiasts. The Barrett-Jackson Fall Auction stands not only as a measure of car aficionados’ zeal but also as a testament to their willingness to give back to society in times of need.
