The San Antonio Municipal Court is set to ease the burden of legal woes for many residents with its latest initiative, the Fall Case Resolution Campaign, aimed at providing individuals an opportunity to clear up outstanding citations without the trepidation of arrest.
From today until Thursday, those with pending parking, civil, or Class C misdemeanor citations are urged to approach the Municipal Court to settle these matters, and they have the convenience of dealing with it either in person or through virtual court sessions which, offers a semblance of resolution and possibly a new start for some, the Court's online hassle-free payment system is also an option for those who can settle fines straightaway, according to the City of San Antonio official website.
A notification system utilizing texts and emails has been implemented to ensure that individuals with outstanding citations are informed and prepared to engage with the campaign. For those who are still uncertain about their citation status, the Court provides an online Traffic/Criminal Case Search tool, readily available for use.
Judge Carla Obledo highlighted the true essence of this initiative, mentioning, "The Fall Case Resolution Campaign isn't just about clearing warrants," instead shedding light on its broader purpose in a statement obtained by the City of San Antonio, "It gives people a real chance to move forward without the weight of legal troubles," a sentiment that underscores the Court's understanding of the populace's everyday struggles and their aim to temper justice with support.
For locals who wish to take immediate action, the Court building at 401 S Frio has its doors open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, no appointment needed, alongside the free parking option, and for those eyeing virtual resolution, Zoom sessions are scheduled from October 14 through 17, specifically from 2 to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
