
San José firefighters faced a tumultuous afternoon yesterday as a second-alarm blaze engulfed a residential structure on the 10400 block of Singleton Rd, near the Seven Trees neighborhood. The San José Fire Department swiftly responded to the scene after the fire broke out, with crews taking a defensive stance due to the precarious situation heightened by a downed power line.
The fire, which prompted the evaluation of two individuals for smoke inhalation, one subsequently transported to a local hospital, was documented in X post an official statement from the San José Fire Department.

The incident, which occurred relatively early in the afternoon with a time of call (TOC) logged at 3:55 pm, did not injure the responding fire personnel. However, it caused a notable disruption within the community. Following the event, the Red Cross assisted those affected by the fire; 4 adults, 3 children, and 5 dogs were displaced. The flames ravaged the residence, and an adjacent home suffered exterior damage; a car and an RV were also damaged, as reported by the San José Fire Department.
