An unsettling incident at Santa Monica College led to the injury of one employee and a full shutdown of all its campuses as police continued their manhunt for the suspect involved. According to KTLA, the shooting transpired at the college's Center for Media and Design on Stewart Street a little after 9 p.m. on Monday. The victim was reportedly hit at least once and was later seen on video being transported to an ambulance.
The search for the suspect has led to increased police presence, with officers donning tactical gear to thoroughly examine the area. Authorities have yet to ascertain a motive for the incident or provide a description of the suspect, who continues to remain at large, as reported by FOX LA.
The college has promised to keep the public informed, urging anyone with information to come forward as the community grapples with the aftermath of the violence on its grounds.
