Residents of Seattle should enjoy today's mild weather with a high of around 64 degrees, as the National Weather Service forecasts a noticeable shift with rain likely to start after 5 am tomorrow. The NWS Seattle office emphasized a "30 percent chance of rain" and increasing clouds with lows around 50 degrees tonight.
Friday's weather promises to bring more significant changes, expect rain predominantly between 8 am and 2 pm followed by showers - the NWS predicts the "chance of precipitation is 100%" and new rainfall could total between a quarter and half an inch, while gusts could reach up to 23 mph. The skies will clear somewhat for the weekend, with partly sunny conditions and high temperatures in the mid-60s.
Saturday night should offer a break from the wet conditions, with partly cloudy skies and lows around 50, leading into a mostly sunny Sunday with a pleasant high near 67 degrees, according to NWS forecasts.
The reprieve from the rain will be short-lived, however, as the NWS anticipates a new chance of rain Monday night - the beginning of an unsettled pattern with "Rain likely" on Tuesday and highs around 65, more rain Tuesday night, and a continuing chance of showers leading into Wednesday.
