Attention all water enthusiasts and family fun-seekers: Meadowbrook Pool is about to get a lot more exciting with its upcoming Dual Lane Aqua Run event, as reported by Seattle Parks and Recreation. Designed for ages 6 and older. However, parents are encouraged to jump in the pool, literally, and take part in the fun by racing their young ones to the finish line.
As stated on the Seattle Parkways website, "It is more likely that your youth will win that race! But it is fun for the whole family." To participate, swimmers will need to pass a swim test, which can be conducted with a lifejacket for those who are less confident in their swimming abilities.
For those interested in joining the event on October 13, pre-registration is a must—this isn't a show-up-and-dive-in kind of deal, folks. The city's announcement shares that the sign-up cost is $8 per person and it's free for those who qualify for scholarships. Remember that because of its popularity and limited space, it's better to secure your spots sooner rather than later, especially since this sometimes wet but always wild event is non-refundable.
