Breaking new ground in Kyle, Texas, Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding its reach with plans for a new location to serve up fresh and organic options to one of the nation's quickest expanding cities, boasting a population north of 50,000. The natural and health-centric grocer will settle in as the cornerstone of the Shops at the Brick and Mortar District, consolidating its presence only a stone's throw from Austin’s city margins. This commercial endeavor, a collaboration involving GBT Realty Corporation and Sprouts, will be celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony slated for Wednesday, October 30th, at a time convening attendees at 11:00 AM CST.

According to information released by the City of Kyle's official communication, the Shops at the Brick and Mortar District is a four-building, ground-up retail development taking up residence on 4.77 acres at the junction of Kohlers Crossing and FM 1626. With GBT managing the complex, shoppers will discover a coupled offering of a Sprouts Farmers Market and three additional retail buildings, summing up to over 18,000 square feet of retail space in the broader Brick and Mortar District at Plum Creek.

The healthy grocer is anticipated to inject around 80 full-time and part-time job opportunities into the local economy, fostering a community united by a fondness for wholesome, organic options. "We are thrilled to bring a wide selection of quality products that cater to a healthy lifestyle to the Kyle community," Sprouts' chief strategy officer, David McGlinchey, told the City of Kyle's release. The upcoming store plans to offer a gamut of dietary options that include gluten-free and paleo choices, amidst a broader range of natural and organic products.

Not only developing a hub for health-conscious shoppers, the Brick and Mortar District stands as a 138-acre beacon calling to individuals and enterprises alike, bridged between South Austin and Northern San Antonio courtesy of I-35's proximity. The master-planned community of Plum Creek nestles this new complex, which began its first phase last year and encompasses not just retail and office areas but also over 2,500 homes and park space, aiming to attract a vibrant community life.

The design of the new Sprouts location comes from BRR Architecture, ensuring a space that dovetails with the Brick and Mortar District's inviting aesthetic through decorative sidewalks and enhanced landscaping. Meanwhile, Arch-Con® Corporation, a Houston-based builder, is handling general construction duties and has previously enjoyed a successful history of developing Sprouts locations, marking this project as their fifth collaboration with the grocer. "It has been a pleasure to build for Sprouts in multiple locations in Texas as well as Oklahoma,” Arch-Con Senior Vice President Marc MacConnell said. "Sprouts has such a friendly and fresh take on grocery shopping, and we are happy to be a small part of their growth," he shared in a statement released from the City of Kyle's announcement.
