Despite their numerous operations, the rescue squad says they don't consider themselves primarily as lifesavers but rather as helping people out of tough situations. There was the life saved earlier in the week by their trackers—a rare but incredibly impactful moment for the team. And just recently, they brought someone's loved one home, which provided a "measure of peace to an anxious family." The announcement captured on social media the experiences of team members Droz (callsign 7131) and Rooster, engaged in what was described as a "difficult search sortie," a mission fraught with challenges including rough terrain, swiftwater, and thick muskeg.
