The City of St. Louis Park is working steadily to complete the 2024 Pavement Management project, making notable progress in both the initial and latter phases. Aaron Wiesen, P.E., Project Engineer for the City, detailed in a recent update that punch list items in phases 1 and 2 are being finished, paving the way for the project's completion slated for early November.
Residents in phases 3 and 4 are seeing considerable advancements with concrete contractors laying down driveways and sidewalks, with an expected wrap-up either this week or the next. While the concrete work pushes forward, door hangers will be in use to notify residents of any upcoming activity that could hinder driveway access. Concurrently, streets in phase 4 are getting graded this week, gearing up for the first layer of bituminous pavement scheduled for the week of Oct. 28, the exact date remains up in the air with residents being looped in through similar door hangers.
Furthermore, Wiesen mentions that the topsoil placement and sod installation processes will spread over the next two to three weeks, bringing a touch of greenery back into the neighborhood's daily panorama.
