A robbery at the Family Dollar store in Dutchtown has put the community on alert after three people carried out the theft in broad daylight on Monday. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, which is currently investigating the incident, the robbery occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the location on the 3800 block of S. Grand. The suspects, possibly two females and one male, managed to offload various items from the store before fleeing the scene.
The three suspects, caught on security footage, entered the Family Dollar and went to the shipping door at the back. When an employee confronted them, one suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. This threat allowed them to load store products into a gray Honda.
No one was physically harmed during the robbery, which investigators emphasize as important. Police are seeking the public's help to find the suspects and are offering a reward for information leading to a conviction.
