In Southeast Oklahoma City, an altercation involving a machete escalated into a police chase, ending in a suspect's apprehension. According to KOCO, at approximately 4 p.m. yesterday, Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) officers were summoned to the Seminole Ridge Apartments by a frantic call reporting a neighbor being aggressively chased by another wielding a machete. The ensuing chaos somehow did not result in injuries connected to the machete incident.
The suspect, upon noticing the arrival of law enforcement, chose to hastily depart by vehicle, commencing to actively avoid the pursuit of police. This pursuit was to eventually culminate near Southeast Grand and South Shields boulevards. During the chase, in an attempt to swiftly bring the situation under control, officers executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver, as News9 reported. While one other vehicle was involuntarily involved in the incident, it was confirmed that there were no injuries.
