A suspect in the fatal shooting at an Applebee's parking lot in New Braunfels has surrendered to authorities. Richard Rosas, 20, turned himself in this morning and is facing murder charges related to the death of 19-year-old Chance Herron and the injury of another individual, as reported by FOX San Antonio.
Details of the case are under close examination. Chance Herron was fatally injured at the Applebee's off Interstate 35 North despite swift medical help. The other victim survived. Richard Rosas is now in Comal County Jail with a $500,000 bond. Two other suspects, Xavier Sherard and Jacob Rowser, both 20, were also arrested last week in connection with the shooting.
Earlier reports from CBS Austin described him as a Hispanic male, 5'11", about 130 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. These details were shared to help in his capture, along with an offered reward.
As legal proceedings unfold, questions about motive and the events will be closely examined, as per the narrative provided by CBS Austin.
