Two suspects are now behind bars connected to a sex trafficking investigation in Irvine's Cypress Village neighborhood. As per an official KTLA report, Irvine Police arrested Qiyin Jiaqiyin, 51, of Irvine, and Xiaoming Ding, 36, of Whittier, following an inquiry into a brothel operating out of a residential property. The arrests occurred Wednesday and the suspects were booked into Orange County Jail on sex trafficking charges.

In a statement obtained by KTLA, it was noted the Irvine Police Department acted on suspicions raised regarding activities at the home. Unearthing a brothel, police implicated the two men in connection to the illegal operation. In the course of pursuing justice, there were victims involved with the suspects, whose exact number remains undetermined at this time.

An Instagram post by the Irvine Police Department detailed the actions of the IPD Special Investigations Unit (SIU) who served a search warrant and discovered the brothel. Besides the arrests, authorities offered assistance to three individuals at the scene, who have since vacated the premises.
