A Texas Christian University professor has been ensnared by federal charges due to alleged child pornography discovered on his workplace hardware.
Charles Kilby Bellinger, a 62-year-old theology professor and librarian, is facing accusations following an IT staff report at TCU that led to the unearthing of pornographic images of infants and toddlers on his work computer. Fox San Antonio has detailed that the triggering file names included highly concerning labels such as "infant" and "toddler."
During the official inspection, authorities discovered that illicit content was not limited to computers. A hard drive and an SD card from Bellinger's office contained multiple sexually explicit images of prepubescent minors. A federal agent reported that law enforcement also seized several encrypted devices from a locked safe in the professor's workspace. Bellinger, who is no longer associated with TCU, could face up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted of these serious charges, as reported by ABC 3340.
