A recent traffic incident in Chapel Hill has left a teenage bicyclist injured after a collision on N. Estes Drive. The Chapel Hill Police Department reported to the scene at approximately 3:45 pm in the 300 block area where the incident occurred, according to the Town of Chapel Hill.
The investigation found that Karla Slocum, a 61-year-old resident of Chapel Hill, failed to yield while making a left turn and struck a 13-year-old boy riding his bicycle. The boy was taken to UNC Hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, as reported by the Town of Chapel Hill.
