The pursuit to resolve the tragic May murder of Christie Bozeman, aged 28, intensified as the U.S. Marshals, in coordination with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), apprehended the third suspect, Marshae Davis. According to FOX8, Davis, 34, was arrested in Cleveland Heights on the 3200 block of Overlook Road.
Earlier, Leonai Jonson, 18, and Cashemere Cole, 26, had been connected to the murder, with Jonson being captured on May 15, and Cole seized last Friday by the Cleveland Heights Police Department. In the wake of the arrest, U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott emphasized the ongoing commitment to justice, stating, "Months after the initial arrest in this case, the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit continues to pursue justice for this victim, as a third suspect is now in custody." The declaration of diligence in the case came from a WKYC report.
The murder investigation unfolded after Bozeman was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds on May 3 in her apartment located on the 2400 block of Central Avenue in Cleveland. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed her death resulted from the injuries sustained during the incident. Both Cleveland19 and WKYC publications corroborated this information.
While Cole is currently held on a $1,000,000 bond, Jonson has been sentenced after accepting a plea agreement reducing her charges to involuntary manslaughter, which led to her receiving a five-year community control sentence. Cleveland Police implicated that Jonson "summoned numerous family members and associates, including Cashmere Cole and Marshae Davis" to the Central Avenue apartment "where one of these persons shot and killed the victim, Christie Bozeman," a fact detailed in the Cleveland19 narrative.
