
Three individuals are recovering in the hospital after a two-car accident in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood this past Saturday night. According to KCRA, the incident took place at the intersection of Bell Street and Alta Arden Expressway around 7:30 p.m. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District reported that two of the victims are in critical condition, while the third suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Officials reported an extrication was necessary to retrieve at least one person from the wreckage. As details are still emerging, the cause of the collision remains uncertain. The ABC10 noted that amoung the vehicles involved were a silver SUV and a black sedan. A female driver and an undetermined passenger were in the SUV, while the sedan was occupied by two females.
California Highway Patrol has not yet provided specifics on what may have caused the mishap. The area around Bell Street and Alta Arden Expressway has been cleared since the accident and traffic has returned to normal.
