
A tragic incident occurred in Kendall County near Bandera County, leaving three dead after a collision on State Highway 46 West. The crash involved a head-on collision between a Ford F-250 Super Duty truck and a Toyota Corolla. Fox San Antonio reports that the accident happened around 8 p.m., resulting in the deaths of all three passengers inside the Corolla.
The Texas Department of Public Safety has stated that the driver of the truck was transported to the hospital with injuries that were unknown. According to an update from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook, the highway witnessed closures for several hours due to the ongoing investigation and subsequent cleanup but was later reopened. The ordeal led to significant disruptions along the affected stretch of the highway as authorities worked through the night, as reported by KSAT.
On Wednesday, Texas Department of Public Safety revealed the identities of the three victims as Roger Louis Waid, 50, Patricia Ann Waid, 53, and Blake Lynn Waid, 14, all from Pipe Creek, Texas. This information comes from KSAT, which also noted that the crash was originally reported shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday. A Ford F-250 traveling west collided head-on with the Corolla that was in an eastbound lane, leading to the fatalities. Investigations continued into the following day, with both the sheriff's office and Texas Department of Public Safety expected to return to the scene to gather more information and determine the cause of the collision.
