
A pedestrian's life came to a tragic end after a collision with a vehicle on William Penn Highway in Monroeville. Last night, around 9:30 p.m., the Allegheny County Police Department was alerted to the accident in the 4000 block. Upon the arrival of first responders, a man was found critically injured and subsequently transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as 48-year-old Thomas Tate, as reported by WPXI.
Following the incident, which has now turned into a grim inquiry, the County Police's Homicide Unit has commenced to investigate thoroughly. According to CBS News, the driver at the heart of this unfortunate event stayed on the scene, cooperating with authorities.
