Three individuals were apprehended following a robbery at a local grocery store in Rancho Cucamonga, an event that promptly led to their arrest and charges. On the evening of Friday, October 18, deputies received a distress call concerning a theft at the Food 4 Less situated on the 12000 block of Foothill Blvd. According to the report by San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, two suspects were seen exiting the store with unpaid merchandise, threatening an employee with a knife before making their escape.
Despite the initial evasion, local deputies managed to quickly locate a vehicle fitting the description provided. This key observance allowed the officers to not only detain the suspects shortly thereafter, but to also recover the stolen items and the weapon used in the crime. The individuals in question have been identified as Samuel Avalos Lopez, 35, of Rialto, Samuel Edward Price, 56, of San Bernardino, and Pearl Rodriguez, 39, of Rancho Cucamonga. They were booked at the West Valley Detention Center for charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
