Early yesterday morning, two separate shootings in north Charlotte left two people with life-threatening injuries. The first occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Clooney Lane, followed by another on Gibbon Road at 3:30 a.m., according to WCNC.
Both victims were quickly taken to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with serious injuries, requiring urgent care, according to MEDIC. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have not yet released details about the causes or suspects, as reported by WSOC-TV.
Investigators are determining if the two shootings, which occurred about 3 miles apart, are connected. Officers quickly arrived at both scenes where shots had been fired into homes, but it is unclear if the incidents are related, WBTV reports.
