
The Fayetteville Police Department reported a second fatal event late Friday afternoon, following an earlier shooting that claimed the life of Garrett Stroman at the Big Apple Restaurant and Sports Pub around 1:40 a.m. Nicholas Galberth, aged 32, was arrested and is now facing first-degree murder charges in connection to the early morning incident.
The second bout of gunfire was reported nearly 16 hours later. At approximately 4:50 p.m., Police units were quickly sent to an apartment complex on the 900 block of Greenleaf Drive after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found 22-year-old Tyshaun Hines with gunshot wounds, CBS 17 News reported.
Emergency medical services were called to the scene, and Hines was urgently transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information that can to help lead to an arrest. This is part of an ongoing effort to combat the surge in violent crimes within the community, as noted in a statement by the Fayetteville Observer.
Investigators with the Homicide Unit are working diligently on the case and have called on the public to provide any information or video evidence that could aid in their investigation. Detective S.
