
North Austin witnessed a significant roadway accident Thursday evening when two individuals suffered serious injuries after their vehicle collided with a tree. KXAN reports that the Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) and the Austin Fire Department responded to the incident around 6:15 p.m. near the 7600 block of Guadalupe Street.
Initial details from the emergency services indicated that one of the adults may have been ejected from the car upon impact. Both individuals have been classified as trauma alerts due to the severity of their injuries. The crash caused a disruption with traffic delays anticipated as investigations and clearance operations took place. ATCEMS confirmed that the patients were transferred to the hospital with injuries described as serious in nature.
Further updates from ATCEMS's X account specified that both adults were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center following the ordeal.
