In a recent update from the Vallejo Police Department, two juveniles have been apprehended on charges of gun-related felonies following investigations into a string of armed robberies. The detentions occurred after officers spotted a 2011 Dodge Caliber driving in Vallejo, previously flagged in connection with multiple hold-ups. A high-risk traffic stop, supported by the CHP Air Unit, led to the arrest of the vehicle's occupants, an adult female and two male juveniles, on September 28.
During the stop, officers executed a search. They found a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine concealed in the waistband of one of the juveniles, who was on felony probation. Sourced from the Vallejo Police Department's Facebook page, a second loaded firearm was also discovered on the rear seat, where the second male juvenile had been seated. The mother, who was driving the vehicle, was subsequently released at the scene.
Both juveniles were booked into the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility following their arrest on numerous gun-related felonies. The seized firearms have been taken as evidence, and the Dodge Caliber was towed from the scene for further examination. Vallejo Police continue their investigation into the robberies linked to the impounded vehicle.
