
On the evening of April 14, Columbus Police Patrol officers responded to a call on the 1300 block of E. Hudson Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a fatal gunshot wound. Identified as Angel Salguero Diaz, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:24 PM, according to a media release from the Columbus Division of Police.
Initial reports did not mention a suspect, but an individual, Jaivon Jones, was arrested in connection with the incident on June 27 by CPD SWAT personnel. Following further investigations, another suspect, Dock Parker, was taken into custody and charged with murder last Thursday. Most recently, yesterday, Mekhi G. Webster, a 22-year-old male, was also charged with one count of murder. The search continues as Mr. Webster remains at large.
