Westerville has marked a milestone, with United Midwest Savings Bank celebrating its first anniversary at its headquarters at 955 County Line Rd. W. According to a recent announcement, the bank, whose national presence is underscored by a top 25 ranking as an SBA lender, continues to deepen its roots in the community.
United Midwest chose Westerville for its blend of local charm and business pragmatism. "We felt the products and services that we offer are a good fit for this community," CFO Jennifer Thomas explained in an interview with the City of Westerville. The bank's journey in the city began with a 780 S. State St. branch, which has grown thanks to "a great staff and our loyal Westerville customers," Thomas added.
Striking a balance between service and employee satisfaction, the banking firm has been strategic with its Westerville headquarters. In selecting the site for their corporate office, United Midwest sought to optimize employee accessibility, and it seems the vicinity’s amenities have hit the mark. The presence of dining options, parks, and the Westerville Community Center have contributed to the bank’s culture of employee wellness, fostering an environment where workers can thrive and, by extension, better serve their clients.
This alignment of corporate ethos with community engagement underscores United Midwest's investment in Westerville. "We look forward to being an active member of this community for years to come," Thomas told City of Westerville. With a spectrum of services ranging from deposit accounts to SBA lending, the bank is well-positioned to continue its trajectory of growth and service. United Midwest operates five branches within Ohio and one in Florida, adding a local touch to its national reach.
