As reported by WFTV, the new addition promises a harrowing journey into the manor of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, who inherits more than just a family name but, apparently, a penchant for creating chaos with her monstrous experiments.
The attraction boasts an arsenal of animated creatures poised to scare the daylights out of the bravest souls. Among them are the iconic Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, and the Wolf Man, to name a few. It seems that "Monster Unchained" won't skimp on the scare tactics, with guest encounters designed to be as close-up and personal as possible—within inches of the Wolf Man's proverbial fangs and claws, for the unnerved among us. As mentioned by Entertainment Weekly, the ride features some of Universal's "most visceral, powerful, and fast-moving animated figures" for an attraction. It’s not just a walk in the park. It's a full-on sprint for survival.
Universal Epic Universe, slated to open on May 22, 2025, plans to envelop visitors in these meticulously crafted worlds, extending an invitation to explore not just Dark Universe but other lands like How to Train Your Dragon's Isle of Berk and Harry Potter's Ministry of Magic. Celestial Park will serve as the heart of the park, surrounded by these "portals" to other worlds, including an area devoted to the beloved Super Nintendo World, as detailed in Entertainment Weekly.
