For those looking to add a splash of creativity to their evenings, the Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department has just the activity. Beginning registration today, step-by-step painting classes are scheduled for November 13 and December 11, according to the City of Las Cruces. These instructor-led sessions are promised to provide both fun and instruction, set in the convivial atmosphere of the East Mesa Recreation Center.
Each class is available for $20 per person, a small investment for the novice artist or the seasoned painter looking to refine their craft amongst peers. Looking to accommodate the schedules of busy residents, the two classes will commence at 6 p.m. and run for approximately 90 minutes each. With registration open starting on October 30, interested participants are encouraged to sign up before space runs out, particularly as the classes are capped to ensure individual attention and space is limited.
Participants can secure their spots online or can choose to visit one of the several locations for in-person registration during the stated business hours. The locales include the Parks and Recreation Department Administrative Office on Hadley Avenue, Meerscheidt Recreation Center, Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, and the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center. The full details of these locations and registration times can be found on the official website.
