In a recent report by the Vallejo Police Department, a single-vehicle collision led to a fatal outcome on Sunday morning, near the corner of Stanford Drive and Hastings Avenue. According to the Vallejo Police Department Facebook post, at 12:22 A.M., a 2006 Cadillac STS failed to navigate a turn successfully, resulting in the car striking a tree.
The Vallejo Police arrived on the scene to discover the critically injured male driver alongside his passenger, an adult female, who reported no harm. The driver, despite the immediate transportation to a local hospital and emergency care delivered, unfortunately passed away due to the injuries incurred in the accident. Running in the car, losing control of the driver, and allegedly trying to make a left turn from Stanford Drive onto Hastings Avenue were reported by the police.
As of now, the identity of the deceased driver has not been released, pending the notification of the next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office. The VPD Traffic Division is investigating to unravel the causation and the factors contributing to this tragic event. Initial findings suggest alcohol might have played a role, and the relevant toxicology reports are awaited.
