A Vallejo man with a penchant for theft and a taste for weapons was arrested in Colma after being recognized by loss prevention at a local business. On October 18, Colma Police received a call concerning a suspicious individual who had been previously caught stealing and had repeated the behavior on the business premises.

According to the Colma Police Department, the suspect, David Woodall, 45, had stolen around $420 worth of goods earlier in the week. No new theft occurred when the officers arrived at the scene. Speaking to the officers, the loss prevention officer sought prosecution for the prior incident, saying that Woodall had stolen in his view earlier in the week.

Once Woodall exited the store and approached his vehicle, he was confronted by officers and, after being identified by store personnel, was promptly arrested. This arrest led to an unsettling discovery, Woodall was found to have multiple prohibited weapons, including two brass knuckles, a switchblade knife, knife knuckles, and an expandable baton.

He was cited for possession of a switchblade, metal knuckles, and leaded cane. Despite the arsenal in his possession, Woodall was released on the spot with a citation in hand, having promised to appear in court to face his charges.
