The flyers menacingly outline a plan to thoroughly audit the tax returns of identified Harris supporters should Trump return to the presidency, ensuring "at a minimum --- 4 years of painful misery and attorney's fees," according to information obtained by MySA. Investigations quickly began to actively identify suspects in an effort to curb any further attempts to unjustly influence local voters.
Meanwhile, the text of the flyer brazenly threatens recipients who have been identified through "social interactions with your neighbors who are on our investigations team, or by yard signs, or vehicle bumper stickers," as reported by Fortune. This has widely been perceived as a direct assault on the civic process and a clear attempt at suppressing voters through fear and intimidation tactics.
The local police chief, Stan Standridge, emphasized the gravity of this transgression, declaring, "It’s a crime in the state of Texas to try to influence or coerce or even prevent a voter from voting," as he told MySA. Authorities are urging residents who find such flyers to immediately contact the San Marcos Police Department, leaving the materials untouched for proper removal and investigation by law enforcement officials.
