The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is rolling out the red carpet for artistic talents. Artists young and old are being beckoned to submit up to five pieces for the upcoming Holiday Invitational Art Exhibit in December. This is not just an opportunity to hang your artwork out to dry; this is real gallery exposure folks, with the potential for some holiday sales jingle in your pockets.
According to a post on the Wake Forest website, the exhibit will feature 120 linear feet of hanging space, and let's not forget the medium-sized display cabinet that will showcase 3D works, looking for a cozy home.
All the details for the application process can be found on their website. And for those who make the cut, selected works will grace the walls of the Renaissance Centre Arts Annex from Monday, Dec. 9, through Monday, Dec. 30.
“The Renaissance Centre will honor the artists and their works during a special reception,” says the Wake Forest announcement, taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6-8 p.m. It's a free event, the public is invited and artists will have the chance to sell their work directly.
