Wake Forest residents should note that if you were planning to visit the Holding Park Inclusive Playground on Monday, you'll need to reschedule. According to an official statement from the Town of Wake Forest, the playground at 133 W. Owen Ave. is closing for maintenance on October 7.
The closure appears to be part of routine maintenance, which is a good sign that the town is caring for its public spaces. Signs and barriers will clearly indicate that the area will be closed for the day. However, this shutdown is only temporary. If the weather is good, the gates will reopen on October 8 at 7 a.m, as stated by the Town of Wake Forest.
For those who need more information or have concerns, Randy Hoyle, the Parks & Recreation Maintenance Manager, is available. You can reach him by email at [email protected]. For more details about this brief closure, check the Town of Wake Forest's official news release.
