LA Eater revealed the opening of Chez Mia, a new dining enclave on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, conceived by restaurateurs Marissa and Matt Hermer. The spot, formerly the home of Ago, now aims to transport diners to the South of France. According to the opening announcement, the restaurant officially started serving guests on October 8.

The design, by Tom Parker’s Fettle, instantly evokes the relaxed yet chic European coast. Guests can anticipate being seated at banquettes on the patio, which comes alive with "neo-disco and pop tunes" when the evening comes, noted LA Eater. Despite, the apparent opulence the menu does cater to a range of budgets with dishes priced between $14 to $225, it seems it will likely be a challenge to dine here without a significant hit to your wallet.

At the helm of the kitchen is culinary director Ivo Filho, bringing to life an extensive menu that features everything from raw seafood to wagyu filet mignon. It's not just about the food at Chez Mia; there are cocktails like Nicolette’s Waterfire, a spicy blend of mezcal or tequila with watermelon and lime, and a wine list curated by sommelier Erika Parjus, with selections that complement the Mediterranean flair.

According to an Instagram post from Chez Mia, the new venue is currently open for dinner and will soon offer lunch and brunch. With its stylish setup, it's no surprise that the location is already attracting influencers and celebrities, with the restaurant's page declaring, "Welcome to Chez Mia ✨ We are officially open today for dinner!" The prime real estate at 8478 Melrose Avenue, one of LA’s most sought-after dining regions isn't likely to stay a secret garden for long.
