The West Sacramento community is set to honor firefighter Timothy Hall, 59, who tragically died during a training exercise at his memorial service today. According to ABC10, Hall's last ride will begin at 9:45 a.m. from West Sacramento Fire Station 45, proceeding to Creekside Church in Elk Grove via Clarksburg, where he previously served as a volunteer firefighter.

Local residents should expect road closures starting at Lake Washington and Jefferson Boulevard, with rolling closures until the procession exits West Sacramento. While some areas will experience momentary stops, not all routes will be completely blocked. Hall's unexpected death last month marked the end of his distinguished career in service, which began in 2006 with the West Sacramento Fire Department and included 41 years at the Clarksburg Fire Protection District.

The ceremony honoring Hall's life and service is open to the public. According to KCRA, the memorial service will start at 11:00 a.m. and will be livestreamed on the West Sacramento Fire Department's Facebook page for those unable to attend in person. In line with Hall's dedication, a GoFundMe page has been set up by the Sacramento Area Firefighters Widows and Orphans Fund to support his family during this difficult time.

"Our fire department is heartbroken," WSFD Chief Steve Binns shared in a statement obtained by ABC10. "Engineer Hall loved this City and bravely served to protect our community," Binns said.
