A motorcycle crash yesterday evening in Pinellas Park resulted in a woman and a juvenile being hospitalized, with the former in critical condition. According to WFLA, the accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Highway 19 North. A motorcycle and pickup truck were the vehicles involved in the incident, the authorities reported.
Emergency responders transported a female from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition; a juvenile passenger also suffered injuries but was in stable condition, as reported by FOX 13 News. Both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. Police have issued a notice to drivers, advising them to steer clear of the area while the roadway remains closed.
The Pinellas Park Police Department is looking into the circumstances that led to the crash. No immediate details about the cause of the collision were apparent in the wake of the accident. Northbound traffic on US-19 at 82nd Avenue was disrupted due to the ongoing investigation, authorities noted.
