At approximately 4:50 p.m., in the 2500 block of Arlington Ave, a 31-year-old woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Official reports obtained by SLMPD indicate that the victim was engaged in an argument with a male suspect, during which he produced a firearm and shot her.
In critical but stable condition, emergency medical services rushed the victim to the hospital, she could not provide a full statement due to her injuries. The suspect, who has been acquainted with the woman, is at large after fleeing the scene in a burgundy-colored pickup truck, leaving the community to grapple with yet another act of senseless violence.
