
A tragic car accident resulted in the death of a 48-year-old woman yesterday evening, in a fatal crash at 6900 Dixie Drive. According to City of Houston News, the collision took place at around 10:20 p.m. The identity of the victim is still pending as official verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is awaited.
Houston Police's Vehicular Crimes Division, led by Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer T. Johnson, reported that the woman was likely driving her green Jeep Patriot at a high speed when the crash happened. Witnesses stated that the vehicle initially struck a curb, causing it to swerve off the road and into a private parking lot. Unfortunately, the Jeep continued westbound, crossed Waltrip Street, and eventually collided with an iron fence, rolling over in the tragic aftermath.
Following the tragic incident, Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived promptly at the scene. Despite their efforts, they pronounced the woman deceased. Houston PD's Sergeant Ramirez and Officer Johnson emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and far from complete.
