Earlier today, an incident occurred in northwest Harris County where a 16-year-old was discovered dead in a Tomball barn, the result of a gunshot wound. According to KHOU, after deputies were called to a report of a shooting on Stone Creek Court, they discovered the scene in the early hours, around 3:30 a.m.
Details remain limited, but preliminary information, as shared by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, suggests that several teenagers may have accidentally discharged a pistol they were handling. As the investigation progresses, the teens involved are currently in custody.
Authorities are working to determine the precise series of events that led to the firearm's discharge. In the meantime, the HCSO's Homicide Division has taken over the investigation, as reported by Click2Houston.
