
A man has died following a single-vehicle accident early yesterday morning on U.S. 127 in Butler County, reports the WLWT. According to the Butler County Sheriff's Office, the tragic event occurred near the milepost eight markers, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old who lost control of his vehicle.
The young driver was operating a 2011 Mitsubishi SUV, which veered off the road and collided with a tree, details gathered from a statement obtained by Local12. The early investigation suggests alcohol and speed might have been contributing factors in the crash. Upon the response of the sheriff's office deputies and the St. Clair Township Fire and Life Squad, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The WCPO provided further details on the accident, stating that Butler County's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is currently leading the investigation into the exact cause of the mishap. Efforts to reopen the road were successful shortly before 8 a.m., ending the overan-hour road closure.
