A 25-year-old man is fighting for his life after a shooting incident in Aliquippa last night. According to the WPXI, the victim was found with a gunshot wound to the chest on the 400 block of Superior Avenue. The City of Aliquippa Police Department responded to the emergency call at 9:08 p.m., wherein they discovered the man with injuries so severe he had to be flown to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the bullet entered the man's back and exited through his chest. No suspects have been named, and law enforcement officials urgently ask anyone with information to come forward. The Pennsylvania State Police are now closely handling the investigation in an attempt to thoroughly piece together the sequence of events that led up to the shooting.
