A pedestrian fatality occurred Friday evening in Harrison Township, involving a 74-year-old man who was struck by a vehicle, as reported by Allegheny County police.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Freeport Road and California Avenue around 6:18 p.m., where they discovered the victim, later identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner as Gary Rhebb of Natrona Heights, deceased upon their arrival, as reported by WPXI.

Following the incident, local road closures were implemented on Freeport Road and Broadview Boulevard between Idaho and California avenues, as detailed by Hilltop Hose Company No. 3; meanwhile, the driver who was involved in the collision remained at the scene, as police initiated an investigation into the tragic event.
