A Greater Alarm Structure Fire broke out this morning on 2614 S Budlong Av in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department alert. Initially reported as a wind-driven incident involving a residential structure, the fire threatened to spread to adjacent buildings. The address is tentative, and the LAFD units from FS 15 and multiple battalions responded to the scene.

The effort to control the blaze saw 91 firefighters work rigorously to access, confine, and ultimately extinguish the flames that had started in a shed and expanded to a vacant two-story home, subsequently reaching occupied multi-family homes close by. "Wind was NOT a factor at this fire," as per the LAFD, contrary to earlier speculations that high winds could have played a major role.
