Early this morning, an incident shook the 40 block of Spruce Street in Akron's Middlebury neighborhood, where a 47-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting. According to the WKYC, the victim was shot in the arm around 3 a.m. Officers found her in an upstairs bedroom and transported her to a local hospital, indicating that her injuries were non-life-threatening.
With the suspect still at large, the Akron Police Department remains in the dark about the motivations behind the shooting.
