
Authorities have apprehended 43-year-old Jason Sjullie from Arizona for allegedly attempting to engage in sexual acts with a minor. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported that deputies posed as a 13-year-old girl online, initiating an undercover operation through the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team on November 18, 2024. It was during this sting that Sjullie purportedly expressed interest in meeting the decoy to carry out sexual acts.
According to the official announcement by the Riverside Sheriff's Department, the interaction spanned two days before Sjullie was taken into custody on November 19, 2024, when he arrived to meet who he believed to be the underage girl. The deputies were able to quickly arrest him, ensuring to absolutely minimize the risk of any further offense.
Sjullie now faces charges for arranging to meet a minor with the intent of committing sexual acts, contacting a minor with the intent to enact sexual offenses, and attempting lewd acts with a minor. He was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center with his bail set at a hefty $1,000,000, reflecting the gravity of the accusations against him. The Riverside Sheriff's Department has stressed that the investigation is active and ongoing, with no additional details forthcoming at this time.
